In this three-part series we look at Halim Saad’s bid for PLUS. We begin with sources having told us that the deal is unlikely to be approved by the government because of a number of factors, including non-viability of the project. In the second part of our series we interview Halim Saad who is confident that PLUS takeover deal is workable, will put a stop to toll increases, halve toll rates for some one million users and still give reasonable returns to investors. In our final part Tiger admires the will with which Halim Saad is pursuing his former baby PLUS Malaysia and its toll concessions but bets that he will not get it.
