Ahmad Zaki’s EKVE issues RM1 bil sukuk

Ahmad-Zaki-Resources-Bhd-logoAhmad Zaki Resources Bhd’s (AZRB) wholly-owned unit EKVE Sdn Bhd has made its maiden issuance of RM1 billion sukuk murabahah under the guaranteed sukuk murabahah facility.

AZRB said the proceeds from the issuance would be used by EKVE to, among others, to part-finance and reimburse all costs associated with the development, design, construction and operations of the East Klang Valley Expressway.

“The sukuk murabahah issued has been accorded a long-term rating of ‘AAA(bg)’ with stable outlook by RAM Rating Services Bhd,” it said in a filing to Bursa Malaysia today.

It said Bank Pembangunan Malaysia Bhd (BPMB) and Maybank Islamic Bhd are the guarantors for the guaranteed sukuk murabahah facility.

It added that BPMB and Maybank Investment Bank Bhd are the joint principal advisors, joint lead arrangers and joint lead managers for the facility.
