CIMB Group to resume Thai bourse listing plan

The board of directors of CIMB Group Holdings Bhd (CIMB) has decided to resume with the proposed Stock Exchange of Thailand (SET) listing.

CIMB and its advisors will continue to hold discussions with the relevant authorities in Thailand on the details of the implementation of the proposed SET listing, according to CIMB Investment Bank Bhd (CIMB-IB) in its filing to Bursa Malaysia today.

The proposed SET listing is currently subject to the approval of the Securities Commission Malaysia (SC), Bursa Malaysia Bhd, Securities and Exchange Commission of Thailand, SET and any other relevant parties.

Application for the proposed SET listing was made to the SC and the listing application was made to Bursa Securities on May 9, 2013.

If all approvals are obtained and implementation details are ironed out, the proposed SET listing is expected to be implemented by end-2013.
